Hoover Meplat Trimmer: How to check bearing surface length:

1.

Slide calipers into the slot on the Meplat Trimmer body. Close the calipers to square it and tighten the black plastic thumb nut.
2.

Install a bullet in the Meplat body and close the calipers. Zero the calipers to get your base number.
3.

Sort bullets in .001” increments (example -.002/-.001/.000/+.001/+.002) by installing them into the Meplat body and closing the calipers.
